Healthcare professionals are facing an increasing daily workload in often trying and difficult circumstances with conflicting demands and limited resources.  Satisfied patients cause less stress and take up less time per patient whilst time spent with a dissatisfied patient costs up to four or five times more.  The nature of the healthcare environment means that few health professionals enjoy a well-structured working day. Time is the only aspect of our lives where we are truly equal yet there never seems to be enough of it. In a busy and demanding healthcare environment it is not time we are short of – it’s how we choose to manage it that needs attention.

Through the use of case studies and practical exercises, the delegate will analyse and assess their current use of time and focus on developing personal awareness to become more productive with their time.  They will identify typical time wasters and what to do with them together with methods for managing their working day more effectively and less stressfully to minimise the potential for complaints from dissatisfied patients and relatives.  It is intended that during the programme the delegate will analyse and assess their current use of time and recognise a range of methods for managing time effectively and efficiently.

All delegates will receive a comprehensive set of study notes to support the content of the day
